Bank Holiday Monday 25th August
Bermondsey Carnival is making its much anticipated return in 2025!
Following last year's successful event that drew in a remarkable crowd of over 5500 attendees, Southwark's premier Carnival is set to light up August Bank Holiday Monday once again. As always, entry is free, and we have a fantastic lineup of talented musicians and DJs on the decks, along with a plethora of activities to keep you engaged throughout the day. Whether you fancy exploring trade stalls, taking a spin on the funfair rides, or simply enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, there's something for everyone.
Our aim is to cater to all generations, ensuring a day filled with joy and merriment for both the young and the young at heart. Come and join us as we come together for a day of festivities and create lasting memories!
DJ LUCK AND MC NEAT TO HEADLINE
The headliners for this year are the UKG Legends, DJ Luck and Mc Neat, set to close the carnival with some old school garage hits! In addition, the 2 Tone legends, The Beat ft Roger Rankin, will be gracing South London with their presence to perform classics such as "Mirror in the Bathroom" and "Tears of a Clown" for your musical enjoyment. Also performing on the main stage is the talented rising starlet Katya, Bermondsey's No.1 DJ Noel spinning soul and club classics, and a special showcase by Kinetika Bloco—a youth music charity featuring vibrant young brass and woodwind players, drummers, steel pan musicians, and dancers all adorned in costumes, producing a fresh, distinctive British Carnival sound with a touch of London flair.
The Bermondsey Social Club DJ Tent was a hit last year, and this time around, we are bringing an even better party atmosphere. We have carefully selected six talented up-and-coming DJs, circa 30 or under. Our aim is to provide a platform for emerging DJs, with a fair 50/50 split between male and female DJs, the majority of whom are from South East London.
The lineup includes Poundland Bandit, Gracey Grey, Hannah Rose from Capital Radio Dance, Peek resident Rafe, local heroes DJ Izzie, and the rising star from Bermondsey, Teddy White. They will be spinning tunes throughout the day. Before they take the stage, there will be kids karaoke in the tent, so make sure to arrive early and join the fun!
The carnival will have football activities organised by Millwall and the Millwall Community Trust, including skill-building exercises and 5-a-side competitions. Roosters Gym will lead a 60-minute boxing session and Pilates class in the fitness area. A new addition this year is the Blue Market, a collaboration with the BID and Big Local Works to bring market traders from the Blue area to the carnival, alongside selected food vendors and a variety charity stalls
Children can enjoy top-notch entertainment, such as funfairs, face painting, arts and crafts workshops, magicians, stilt walkers, and street performers.
A special thank you to all sponsors for their generous contribution to the carnival. Your support is crucial in making this event possible and ensuring everyone has a great time. We would like to express our gratitude to Southwark Council, Rotherhithe CC, The Blue Bermondsey BID, Greystar, United Saviours, British Land, Elkins and Millwall, and the Millwall Community Trust for their dedication of time and money to make this day unforgettable.
