Bermondsey Carnival is one day a year when the whole community lands in the same place at the same time, grandkids and grandparents, long-time locals and new faces, all here for the same reason. A proper day out, in the park, together.
There's music across two stages spanning genres you wouldn't normally hear back to back. There's a funfair, kids entertainment, football with Millwall Community Trust, food and drink from independent traders, community stalls, and DJs going from the first act to the last. From 1pm to 9pm, something is always happening somewhere in the park.
Bermondsey Carnival has been part of this community for over a hundred years. It started as a local celebration rooted in the streets and people of SE16, and through every decade since, through change, regeneration, and everything the city has thrown at this corner of South London it has never stopped. Made possible by the support of Southwark Council, local charities, and businesses committed to making SE16 a hub of excitement, culture, and community. Just South East London doing what it has always done: coming together and making noise. And like every year before it, it won't cost you a penny to walk through the gates.

The Carnival Entrance is on Lower Road, by the Rotherhithe Tunnel roundabout.
The easiest way to get there is by public transport. Parking in the area is extremely limited on Bank Holiday Mondays and we strongly recommend leaving the car at home.
By Tube & Overground
Canada Water station (Jubilee Line and London Overground) is your best bet — it's around a 15-minute walk to the park entrance on Lower Road. Head south from the station, through the Albion Street area, and follow the signs on the day.
Surrey Quays (London Overground) is slightly closer at around a 10-minute walk. Exit the station and head north along Surrey Quays Road, turning onto Lower Road toward the Rotherhithe Tunnel roundabout the entrance is right there.
By Bus
The 1, 188, and C10 buses all stop on Lower Road within a short walk of the entrance. Check TfL journey planner for the most up to date routes on the day.
By Bike
Santander Cycles docking stations are available at Canada Water and along Lower Road. Lime bikes will not be ble to park outside the gates.
On Foot
If you're local, you probably already know the way. If you're coming from Bermondsey, head down Jamaica Road and onto Lower Road. From Deptford or New Cross, Surrey Quays Overground is your easiest route in.

Carnival entry is absolutely free, and there's no need to worry about showing a ticket upon entry. However, it would greatly help us if you could kindly sign up through the free entry ticket link. Your participation will assist us in estimating attendance numbers.
